Five Things To Do if You Have Lost Your Dog           Five Things To Do if You Have Found a Dog

Welcome to Lost Dogs of California. We are a proud member of Lost Dogs of America and the California partner of Helping Lost Pets. Our services are provided FREE of charge to dog owners, finders of lost dogs, shelters, rescues groups and animal control professionals.

Our mission at Lost Dogs of California:

  • Provide tools and resources to help owners locate their lost dogs, including FREE flyers and listings on social media.
  • Offer finders of lost dogs effective methods to reunite these pets with their owners.
  • Reduce the number of stray dogs in shelters that go unclaimed, thus decreasing euthanasia rates.
  • Raise awareness that lost dogs don’t need a new home, they just need help getting back home!
  • Work to bring to California one central map based database where all of our lost or found pets can be listed to avoid the confusion of multiple places to post.
  • Connect animal control facilities, veterinary clinics, shelters and other pet related businesses to the Helping Lost Pets network so they can receive FREE alerts when a pet is listed as lost or found in their area.
